Ed and Sherry Teran opened American Vision of Lynbrook and Bayside in 1984 and have been a family owned and operated business ever since. Their daughter Elyse grew up working in the business and joined the staff full time as one of the owners and optometrists in 2005.

American Vision is part of the local community and we like to know all our patients and customers by face and name. American Vision is based on a family philosophy that includes being able to listen to our patients, no different than a family would listen to the concerns of another family member. We consider all of our patients to be part of the American Vision family and will do our best to be understanding and attentive to what concerns you...that is our most important objective.
